EARLY TREATMENT OF MALOCCLUSIONS

PREVENTION AND INTERCEPTION IN PRIMARY DENTITION

General Dentists, Pediatric Dentists and Orthodontists,

It is possible to fully and truly treat a malocclusion at a very early age.

You can properly correct early malocclusions and avoid relapse later in life regardless of the age of the patient by fully identifying the causative factors, designing a proper treatment plan, and using up to date techniques designed for primary or early mixed dentition.

Observe, identify and effectively treat the true causative factors of malocclusion in primary dentition or early mixed dentition with this 122 page hard cover text book, complete with full colour graphics, backed by over 200 scientific references and the presentation of 5 full clinical cases with an explanation of their successful early treatment and follow up. Available in English and Spanish, order your copies today.

FROM THE AUTHOR

Malocclusions have to be treated as soon as they are diagnosed.

In many cases, malocclusions are diagnosed at an early age; therefore, treatment should be initiated immediately.

Early treatment must be definitive and aim to redirect craneo-cervico-mandibular development into physiological patterns, providing enough room for the permanent teeth to erupt and align in the dental arches.

Correct maxillary and mandibular relationships should be maintained from an early age, so they can properly interrelate with the other structures composing the craneocervico- mandibular system.

To provide early treatment, general dentists, pediatric dentists and orthodontists have to be confident with the techniques designed to treat malocclusions in primary dentition, as an appropriate treatment cannot be performed with techniques designed for permanent teeth.

Craniofacial growth and development is not totally leaded either by genetics or oral functions. It is the result of complex interactions between genetics and environmental influences. This book intends to explain those interactions and how changes affecting the masticatory system may affect other components of the craneo-cervico-mandibular system.

This book also aims to present insights in early treatment of malocclusions and techniques that permit treatment of malocclusions in primary dentition. These techniques treat malocclusions and rehabilitate the craneo-cervico-mandibular system to continue developing within physiological patterns.

All will change that day when dentists become educators rather than treatment providers. Then, we will see a real reduction in the incidence of oral diseases and malocclusions. Only then, we, the dentists, will be doing real prevention.
